This webpage will serve as a guide to assist first-time drivers with the process of obtaining a Class D license. It includes sections on the following:
- Steps on getting a license
Includes learner’s permit and road test information
- Parent/guardian information
Includes information for driver’s education programs, junior operator requirements, and a link to the Parent Supervised Driving Program (PSDP)
- Safe driving tips
Includes links to safety videos, including winners of this year’s Safe Streets Smart Trips High School Video Contest, and links to dedicated safe driver Mass.Gov webpages
- Study materials for learner’s permit exams and road tests
Includes links to the driver’s manual and road test prep videos
COMING SOON: The RMV is creating practice learner’s permit exams that will be available online for customers starting January, 2021.
